Database Usage Rules

If a person violates the rules for the usage of the database, this may cause the databases to be temporarily closed for our university. In some cases, this may lead to a permanent close. To avoid this, you may help us by obeying the following rules.

Cases, which are not disadvantageous:

• A printed or electronic copy in specific number can be taken (for example a single article, a chapter of a book, a section of a thesis, etc.)
• You may use for your own information need. (for example in your research or lesson
• You may share the information you take from the database with the personnel or the students in İzmir University of Economics.  

Cases, which are disadvantageous:

• It is forbidden to copy many publications from the database with a commercial purpose or by using a robot or suchlike software systematically.
• It is forbidden to sell the database or to distribute its content.
• It is forbidden to transfer the information copied from the database to the people outside the university.
• It is forbidden to send the content information copied from the database or the article via e-mail lists.It is forbidden to make changes on the records downloaded from the database or to make similar studies by making use of them.
