TÜBİTAK-Wiley 2026-2028 Open Access Agreement – 2026 Quota Status
The current status of open access article quotas allocated for use in Gold and Hybrid journals for 2026 under the TÜBİTAK-Wiley 2026-2028 Open Access Agreement is as follows:
Gold journals: The article quota allocated for 2026 was completely exhausted as of August 12, 2026. Therefore, as previously stated in the agreement criteria, APC support will not be provided under the agreement for articles accepted in Gold journals until the end of the year.
o Quotas allocated for Gold and Hybrid journals are tracked separately. Therefore, the existence of a quota in Hybrid journals does not mean that open access support continues for Gold journals.
o Even if articles previously conditionally accepted or for which an open access application was initiated were submitted earlier in Gold journals, their APCs cannot be met under the TÜBİTAK-Wiley Open Access Agreement due to the exhaustion of the 2026 Gold article quota.
Hybrid journals: There is a quota of 189 articles for 2026. Open access support will continue for articles meeting the terms of the agreement until the quota is exhausted.
