Wiley Hybrid Journals to Transition to Full Open Access in 2027

According to a statement from Wiley publishing house, some Wiley journals will transition from a hybrid publishing model to a fully Open Access model by 2027.

This change is in line with Wiley's goal of expanding Open Access and supporting the evolving needs of the research community. All accepted articles in journals transitioning to a fully Open Access model will be freely available to read, share, and reuse from the moment of publication.

The journals making the transition were selected through a comprehensive evaluation process that considered criteria such as funding opportunities, the readiness of the research community, and long-term sustainability. This transformation aims to contribute to a more accessible and sustainable academic publishing ecosystem for researchers and institutions.
