Turnitin AI Detection Feature

Language support for Turkish, German, and Dutch will be added to Turnitin’s AI writing detection feature as of October 6, 2026.

Turnitin’s AI writing detection feature is currently available for English, Spanish, Japanese, and Arabic. With the addition of these new languages, AI detection will be supported in a total of seven languages.

Automatic AI detection results will not be generated retroactively for papers uploaded to the Turnitin system prior to the launch of support for Turkish, German, and Dutch. To utilize the AI ​​detection feature for these languages, papers must be re-uploaded to the system on or after October 6, 2026.
